‘I am scared for my life’ – Skales cries out after EFCC home invasion
Prominent Nigerian singer, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales has said that he and his family are now always living in terror.
He fears for his life as a consequence of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials breaking into his residence.
TopNaija recalls how Skales was wrongly accused of being a fraudster by the EFCC after reporting the agency for breaking into his house some weeks before.
Skales indicated in a recent interview with the Terms & Conditions podcast that his life is no longer secure and that he has received threats since his outburst against the anti-graft agency.
The talented Nigerian singer said he is still moving about freely because he is “clean.” He said his artist, who was arrested during the raid, is still in custody.
He said, “The EFCC operatives that invaded my house didn’t have a search warrant. Obviously, they were illegal.
“My problem with the EFCC guys is not even the fact that they are not doing what they were paid for.
“They are now using the power to oppress people. They are oppressing me right now. I am scared for my life, I won’t lie to you. I’m scared but at the same time, I know I’m clean, that’s why I’m moving around.”
