“Manchester United have a higher percentage of winning with me on the pitch,” — Harry Maguire

Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has defended himself over recent criticisms he has been faced with while under new manager, Erik ten Hag.

The England international while on international duty, has been doing a lot of talking about his Manchester United career, with the former Leicester City man hoping for a change of narratives upon return from international commitments with England.

However, the England Centre-back recognizes situations may not be as simple as he wants, hinting at the possibility of an exit from Manchester United as a plausible resolution in the nearest future.

“I am not going to sit here all my life and play once a month… if it carries on I am sure myself and the club will sit down and have a chat about things,”

“But I am fully focused on fighting to try and win back my place at Man United,” he quoted to The Sun.

Speaking on his Old Trafford career, Harry Maguire denies playing a part in many results that went against the team on the pitch.

The former Leicester City man went on to defend his records at the club, stating that Manchester United played more better while having more chances at winning with him on the pitch than without.

“My record under this manager speaks for itself. I haven’t started as many games as I like but my win percentage when I’ve played is ridiculously high,” Maguire asserts.

“Of course I can improve. I’ll keep working hard and pushing, I’m sure there will be opportunities to come.”
