"I am Human" -- Son Heung-Min breaks silence

Tottenham Hotspur forward, Son Heung-Min sent Arsenal fans reeling with spite on Tuesday after missing a 1 v 1 situation that could have handed Arsenal an advantage in the title race against Manchester City.

Knowing the bad blood that exists between the North London clubs, conspiracy theorists put it forward that the miss against Man City goalie, Stefano Ortega was on purpose. However, Son Heung-Min has finally broken his silence.

According to the Spurs’ captain, the miss was actually a well timed save by the opposition goal keeper to deny Tottenham the equalizer.

The jaw dropping moment came in the dying stages of the game, shortly before Erling Haaland converted a penalty to double City’s advantage.

Reflecting on the moment, Son acknowledged the significance of the missed chance, which could prove pivotal in the ongoing title race. Additionally, the miss compounded Spurs’ struggles, effectively ending their hopes of Champions League qualification following a fifth defeat in six games.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Son Heung-Min said in quote;

“The keeper made a really good decision and made himself really big. But I take responsibility for not scoring that big chance for the team, because the team was working really hard and trying to get a good result.”
