How Yinka Ayefele’s radio station Fresh FM was robbed

Fresh FM, a radio station owned by popular musician Yinka Ayefele in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, was robbed on Sunday morning, April 10, by a three-man gang, TopNaija reports.

 

Fresh 105.9 FM is a broadcast radio station from Ibadan, Nigeria providing African news and sports; with heavy emphasis on lifestyle and entertainment,

Based on TopNaija’s findings, the robbers stormed the station during a live broadcast and dispossessed staff on duty of laptops, phones and other personal effects.

The incident occurred around 6:30am and it was also learnt that no one was hurt. One of the radio station’s staff, Kenny Ogunmiloro tweeted;

 

Nowhere is safe again, not even radio stations are spared again in d porous level of insecurity in the country My radio station was robbed by 3 armed men this morning around 6.15 am. Phones, laptops, ATM cards, and gadgets were taken away but no one was hurt This is sad.

 

A staff of the radio station who asked not to be named confirmed the attack on Sunday. He said “Yes it happened. There is no fatality.

“It happened, though I have not been in the office. It happened. “Some people have called me too. And I confirmed it to them”.

Ayefele attended Our Saviours Anglican Primary School in Ipoti-Ekiti for his primary and secondary education before he later proceeded to Ondo State College of Arts and Science in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria
