How to combat bias generally

Everyone suffers bias and we need to accept that we all have unconscious biases. It could be in career, business, academic opportunities, physical and so on. Bias can be brought to an end but requires determination. Bias as a practice can be conscious or unconscious and can lead to certain groups being treated less favourably or discriminated against. The key is to be aware of what your biases are, as it helps to actively manage them. Attributes of bias is inherent in humans. It is a preconceived opinion about something or someone. Bias can be favourable and unfavourable.
First, it is important to pay attention to your behavior.

Monitor your behavior, understand your behavior and attitude towards people. Question your first impressions and extreme reactions towards people. Reflect on decisions you make. Avoid stereotyping. Audit your consumption of information. Filter your thoughts and thoughts process. Be aware of what your biases are. Measure your conscious and unconscious bias. Be transparent towards affairs in life. Pay attention to boss related traits and characteristics.
Second, Expand your horizon. Broaden your general perspective and widen your social circle.

Engage in critical understanding of different cultural, economic, social status of humans. Intersect with all statuses of the human race. This will lead to better understanding of bias and help to curb bias practices and traits. Also, hesitate from generalization.
Lastly, Avoid making assumptions. Avoid relying on just instincts about people, thongs, issues, situations, expectations and more. Counter being judgemental and jumping into conclusion. Practice observation before conclusion.

Keep first time opinions, prejudice and instincts aloof from the reality check of life and stick to logical, rational and critical analysis of situations. Set ground rules for your behavior and make considered decisions.
We can only deal with bias if we are honest with ourselves, sincere to ourselves and admit our mistakes. These practices take time but combating and eradicating bias in all spheres and sectors of life is collectively feasible and achievable.
