How Mourinho Left Liverpool’s Fans In Disappointment
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has expressed his delight at Liverpool fans disappointment during their clash at Anfield.
The Red Devils held Liverpool to a barren draw, dashing the hopes of the Reds to go joint top with Manchester city, and Mourinho has now revealed it was all planned to put kop fans in a state of ‘permanent disappointment’.
The Portuguese said: ‘The game was difficult for both teams but for longer periods it was more difficult for them than us.
‘We controlled the game not just tactically but the emotion of the game that was probably the quietest Anfield I had and I was expecting it to be the other way.
‘I think was a positive performance. If you analyse the game see the reason why did it, playing Young and Fellaini. We had control of the game – there were two amazing saves by David De Gea it’s true but they were out of context.
‘The reaction from their crowd was permanent disappointment. People expected us to come here and be really in trouble, which we were not.’
Jose Mourinho clearly ‘parked the bus’ against Jurgen Klopp’s men who have been rampant in recent weeks.
