How court remanded three for alleged kidnapping in Osun
Magistrates court sitting in Osogbo has remanded three persons alleged kidnapping.
The accused include Olalekan Alawe, 39; Idris Ganiyu, 24; and Raji Hammed, 28.
The trio allegedly committed the offense around 5 pm at the Testing ground area in Osogbo.
The prosecutor, Temitope Fatoba, told the court that the accused persons kidnapped one Olajide Waidi and took him to an unknown destination.
He said the accused persons prevented anyone entitled to the victim to have access to him in order not to discover where he was imprisoned.
The offense committed contravened section 364 (2), 516 Criminal Code CAP 34 vol 11 Law of Osun State 2002.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the allegations slammed against them.
Defense counsel, K.I Bowola prayed the court to grant his clients bail in most liberal terms promising to provide reliable sureties.
In his ruling, Magistrate Isola Omisade remanded the accused persons and requested a formal bail application.
The case was adjourned till February 11, 2021, for a hearing.
