"How can you say 'No' to him?" -- Manchester United legend reacts

In the realm of football speculation, the potential arrival of Karim Benzema at Manchester United is stirring excitement, with club legend Rio Ferdinand endorsing the move for the benefit of emerging talent Rasmus Hojlund.

However, financial constraints cast doubts on the feasibility of securing the veteran striker’s services in the upcoming January transfer window.

Reports suggest that Benzema, after a brief stint with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad following his departure from Real Madrid, is contemplating a return to European football.

The 36-year-old striker’s future has been thrown into uncertainty as he failed to join Al-Ittihad’s pre-season preparations.

United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is keen on reinforcing the squad’s attacking options, particularly to provide support for the promising 20-year-old Hojlund.

The young talent recently notched only his second Premier League goal during the team’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham over the weekend.

Ferdinand, sharing his insights on the FIVE YouTube channel, expressed optimism about the potential impact of Benzema‘s arrival.

The former Manchester United defender drew parallels with past high-profile signings, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, highlighting the club’s historical inclination towards securing seasoned strikers.

Ferdinand remarked,

“That’s just going back to old, what we’ve been doing before…Listen, Benzema… how can you say no? How can you say no to that signing?”

However, the financial aspect of the deal remains a looming challenge for Manchester United.
