How best UTME candidate cleared WASSCE result with eight A1

Demonstrating an exceptional academic prowess once again, Kamsiyochukwu Umeh, the standout candidate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has triumphed in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) by securing an astounding array of grades: 8 A1s and a B2.

At just 16 years old, Umeh, a student of Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, showcased her remarkable abilities by earning A1 grades in subjects spanning English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, Computer Studies, and Dyeing and Bleaching. She also clinched a commendable B2 in Physics.

Notably, Umeh had previously gained recognition for securing the highest score in the 2023 UTME, achieving an impressive cumulative score of 360. Her individual subject scores were equally impressive: Chemistry (99), Mathematics (98), Physics (97), and English (66).

Originating from Anambra State, Umeh’s remarkable achievements have garnered her numerous accolades, including a scholarship awarded by her state’s government. Furthermore, she was presented with a substantial cash prize of N2.5 million by Chief Eric Umeofia, the CEO of Erisco Foods Limited, among other honors.

On July 28, 2023, Umeh was presented with her cash prize during a ceremony held at the premises of Erisco Foods Limited in Ikeja, Lagos.
