How Bauchi governor’s brother was kidnapped

Elder brother of Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi state, Adamu Mohammed Duguri has been kidnapped by yet to be identified gunmen.

A family source who disclosed this said Daguri was abducted on Wednesday evening.

Eric Anyamene, one of the governor’s media aides, confirmed the development but said details were still sketchy.

“It just happened and we are still trying to get details,” he confirmed over the phone.

The incident comes one day after the governor tested positive for coronavirus. He is currently in isolation.

Nigeria was battling widespread insecurity before the outbreak of coronavirus which has infected 46 persons in the country.
