Hitman That Killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel Has Been Convicted
Thomas Cashman, a hitman hired to kill a rival drug dealer in Dovecot, Liverpool, shot and killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in a bungled attempt.
An ex-lover of Cashman’s gave vital evidence against him, leading to his conviction for the murder of the schoolgirl.
She will go into witness protection. Olivia’s mother, Cheryl Korbel, was relieved at the verdict, while Cashman’s partner and family protested and claimed that he was the victim of a “stitch-up”.
Cashman was also convicted of attempting to murder the rival drug dealer, Joseph Nee, wounding Cheryl and two firearms charges. He will face life in prison.
