His Problem Is He Wants More—Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba, current midfielder for Juventus and former star of Manchester United is the latest to share his opinion on aggrieved Manchester United ex-teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo as he commented on the striker and his personality in the wake of the Portuguese’s controversial interview.

Paul Pogba spent a year at Man United playing alongside Ronaldo before making a summer transfer back to Juventus.

The international footballer from France, who will be sidelined by an injury during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, claimed that Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic of AC Milan are the pinnacle of athletes.

He asserts that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is a winner who never considers others and constantly strives to shatter records.

On the Muslim Money Guys podcast, Pogba spoke with Wahed and said:

“I see professional football players – like Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] – a lot of players are very professional, they come early, they do all their recovery and stuff like that. But someone that has been there every single day and doesn’t stop. That is Cristiano [Ronaldo].

“It is just his personality, he is a winner, that is for sure. He wants to always be right, he is never satisfied with what he has done, he always wants more. He always says: ‘I can do more. I will do more’. His motivation is crazy. What I saw for a year when I was with him, every day is a new record.

“He is challenging himself. He does not see the others, he would say: ‘I need to be better than me.’”

Paul Pogba is no stranger to the criticisms Ronaldo is facing in his time at Manchester United following the explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Like Ronaldo, Pogba also found himself in similar position prior to his exit from Old Trafford with his Pog-cumentary that attracted a host of criticisms from several Manchester United legends.

But unlike Paul Pogba, quite a lot of Man United legends have sat out giving their public criticisms on the Piers Morgan interview at the moment, with Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney and the likes choosing to play the silent game.
