Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is not happy that United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has been dismissed from the club.

The former Manchester United boss prior to his sack by the INEOS-led co-ownership at the club, was on a £2million-a-year ambassador role, which makes the Scottish legend’s sack a bit controversial.

Speaking ahead of Manchester United’s game versus Brentford on Saturday, Erik ten Hag acknowledged the emotional toll this decision will have on the club as the legendary Scotsman, who guided United to 38 trophies over 26 years, is set to step back.

Speaking ahead of their upcoming clash with Brentford, Ten Hag admitted, “Sir Alex is Manchester United. His departure impacts us, but his desire to see us win remains unwavering.”

With Ferguson likely to reduce his appearances at the Theatre of Dreams, the club now faces the challenge of honoring his legacy while forging ahead without his constant presence.

A lot of Manchester United fans find Sir Alex Ferguson’s exit from the club ironic as a large portion of the fanbase took to social media to express their surprise at Ferguson departing the club before current boss Erik ten Hag amidst poor performances by his team.
