"Here is what I meant" — Regina Daniels sets record straight

Regina Daniels has responded to the whirlwind of reactions following her viral video, where she revealed she had “about 20 boyfriends” before meeting her now-husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

“When I started with my husband, I even forgot that I was supposed to have boyfriends,” Daniels stated in the TikTok livestream, poking fun at the buzz.

“Of course, I had like 20 at the time, I can count them. This one is to buy me water; this one is to buy me chewing gum; this one is to drive me around. So when people think I didn’t have a choice, it’s cr@zy.”

Amid the mixed responses her comments stirred on social media, Regina took to Instagram to clarify her intentions, emphasizing that her relationships had boundaries.

“Hey everyone, I want to clarify the 20 boyfriend ish solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that having several male/boy friends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body,” she shared, urging young women to uphold their values.

Daniels also confirmed her personal commitment to waiting for marriage, saying, “And oh yes. I did have a lot, but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did!!! It’s a big flex.”

In a lighthearted message to her fans, Regina added, “But hold on! What did you guys expect na? It was your little beautiful sweetheart, Regina Daniels—of course men and ladies would admire. So everyone chill pls.”

With her candid remarks, Daniels hopes to inspire young women to make choices that align with their values, while also debunking the myth that her marriage was a matter of necessity.
