Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, best describes the case of a Thai woman who had hired a hitman to murder her husband.

Charoensri Thongkham confessed to hiring a hitman to kill her husband because “he had illicit affairs with other women and physically abused her”

The 41-year-old Thai woman revealed to authorities the reason she had her husband of 11 years killed by an assassin.

Thongkham was arrested by the Economic Crime Suppression Division police in front of massage shop in Bangkok’s Bang Khen district on Tuesday, June 14.

Charoensri Thongkham during questioning revealed to the police that she was angered by the many affairs he had with other women and his frequent physical abuse.

She revealed her husband had changed a lot into their marriage and had affairs with other women.

The scorned woman also alleged that her husband spent the money she earned on the women.

She revealed she had loved him dearly but was forced into taking actions for fear of him killing her one day as he always had with him a gun

The woman confessed to have paid the assassin 100,000 baht upfront for it.

When the assassination was confirmed, Thongkham had her husband’s gold necklace, weighing five baht, and his gun stolen before fleeing to Bangkok to evade arrest.

In reaction to the crime, she was charged with masterminding her husband’s murder, theft, and breaching the Firearms Act of Thailand.
