He’ll be a Super Star for Chelsea—Danny Murphy

Chelsea may have had some hiccups along the way into the season but the Blues have started the season earning better results than most.

But its transfer business is what is left hanging at this stage as the West London club still keeps an eye over the market with a few targets in mind to contest for.

Speaking on a particular target that Chelsea has an eye on, former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy explains going all out to get the player’s signature will do quite well for the Blues’ ambitions into the season.

On Anthony Gordon of Everton, Danny Murphy feels the player is yet another gem waiting to hit the ground running as he has the potential to be a superstar.

Since his debut for the Merseyside club, the Everton academy graduate has been a prospect Thomas Tuchel has had eyes on specifically in this transfer window.

Chelsea has reportedly tabled a bid of £40million to the Blues of Merseyside which was quickly rejected by them.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Danny Murphy said:

“You’re talking about getting him for the next seven or eight years for that club and someone who could progress into a superstar.

“He’s really good, he’s not a risk. If you know football and you’ve watched football, then you know that he’s not a risk.

“He’s plenty good enough and he’s going to get better and better, so he’s certainly not a risk.”
