"He went against our values" -- Juventus on sacking Allegri

Juventus Football Club has announced the immediate dismissal of head coach Massimiliano Allegri. The decision follows the team’s recent victory in the domestic Coppa Italia. The club cited behaviors exhibited by Allegri during and after the Coppa Italia final as not aligning with the club’s values.

In a statement, Juventus clarified, “The exemption follows certain behaviors held during and after the Coppa Italia final that the club considered not compatible with our values.”

The club revealed that the plan to part ways with Allegri had been in place since January.

Paolo Montero has been appointed as interim coach and will lead the team for the remainder of the season. Juventus has already extended a formal proposal for a three-year contract to Thiago Motta, who is the favored candidate to take over as head coach next season. Negotiations with Motta are ongoing, with Juventus working diligently to finalize the deal.

This move marks another chapter for Juventus who despite starting the season on strong terms, find themselves stumbling in the Serie A.
