Pure luck -- Aguero trash talks Ronaldo's free kick

Former Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo may not have over-exaggerated his thoughts when he stated how the media took him out as the black sheep within the group, and with his mistake against Uruguay still receiving criticisms and backlash coming from Paul Parker, an ex-Manchester United player, there could be some truth in his narrative.

Paul Parker, a former midfielder for Manchester United, has criticized Cristiano Ronaldo for attempting to score Portugal’s opening goal in their recent 2-0 victory against Uruguay at the FIFA World Cup.

Bruno Fernandes’ cross was intended for Ronaldo, but he was unable to touch it, and the ball ended up in the goal.

When replays revealed there was space between his head and the ball, the 37-year-old rejoiced as though he had scored the goal until realizing later that he had not.

Even after the game was over, Ronaldo was spotted gesturing that he had a pallid touch on the ball.

Later, there were rumors that the Portugal Football Federation will present FIFA with indisputable proof that Ronaldo had scored.

However, the ball’s integrated technology from Adidas revealed that Ronaldo had entirely missed it.

“Adidas have made it very clear that [Cristiano] Ronaldo didn’t touch the ball. Simple as that. But the fact that he tried to take away a goal from his teammate [Bruno Fernandes] is absolutely rubbish,” Parker told BonusCodeBets.

“Even the Portuguese football federation tried to give him [Ronaldo] the goal.

“But he [Ronaldo] must be very disappointed that Bruno Fernandes is the top goal scorer for Portugal. He probably does not like not to be the best player in a team.”

He added:

“Somehow Ronaldo managed to get bigger than his own country, like he tried to become bigger than Man United. It is a shame and he should be embarrassed.”
