He is that good—Gary Lineker on Wesley Fofana

The debate on whether Wesley Fofana is worth the interest of Chelsea and even a move to the Stamford Bridge has lingered in the minds of the Blues fandom.

But if there is one man who believes in the player and for a fact doesn’t want him to leave Leicester City, it is definitely the Foxes’ former striker, Gary Lineker.

The Leicester City striker admits that he is gutted to see the Frenchman leave for Chelsea but reckons the Blues now have a global star on their hands in Wesley Fofana.

Fofana is set to join the Blues in the coming days in a deal that will be worth over £70million.

The 21-year-old has been pushing for a move to Chelsea who ironically faced Leicester over the weekend in a 2-1 victory with a man down.

The Frenchman was a noticeable absence in the Leicester squad which resulted from Fofana putting on a behavior that saw him being dropped from the first team squad by under fire manager, Brendan Rodgers.

The Leicester City manager forced the 21 year old to train at the club’s under 21s.

Speaking on the move, Gary Lineker tweeted:

“Gutted to lose him but wish Wesley Fofana well. Every player wants to play Champions League football so it’s understandable.

“Chelsea fans, you’ve got the most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world. Yes, I believe he’s that good.”
