He Is Not A Complete Player—Pochettino On Mbappe
France had quite the game against Poland, and one man who displayed quite the performance in the game was Kylian Mbappe but for former Paris Saint Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino, the striker is not quite the complete player yet.
Kylian Mbappe has been informed by former Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino that he is still developing as a player.
He claimed that the France international consistently acts in a predictable way to defenders.
This is despite the 23-year-stellar old’s performance against Poland on Sunday and his five goals scored to date at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Former coach Pochettino believes Mbappe can enhance his awareness of the available space on the field.
“What he needs now to be a really, really complete player is to read the space better, when he needs to go inside, how he needs to receive in between the lines, use the pocket […] He needs to be more involved in the game,” Pochettino said on BBC.
“[His decisions] are all similar actions.”
