“He can still challenge the court ruling, it is his right” – Yomi Fabiyi speaks on Baba Ijesha’s court ruling (Video)

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has issued his stance on the court judgment of his colleague, Baba Ijesha, who was slammed with 16 years imprisonment.

The Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, while speaking with the journalists, contended that Olanrewaju James, AKA Baba Ijesha had the exclusive right to appeal the court’s decision. He stated that because the court only found him guilty of part of the allegations brought against him, he has the right to seek redress in a higher court.

According to him, the defendant, Baba Ijesha must be given the privilege to defend himself in all possible ways.

Recall that Baba Ijesha was arrested in 2021 for sexually assaulting a minor who happened to be Comedienne, Princess adopted daughter, and the case was spearheaded by Princess, and Iyabo Ojo who insisted that justice must be served.

Video footage of the act even went a long way to serve as concrete evidence.

Yomi stated that notwithstanding the judgment, the defendant would continue to plead not guilty to the accusations before him.

However, whether Baba Ijesha would appeal or not remains to be seen, since his legal team has yet to tell the public. The actor is now serving a 16-year prison sentence, as ordered by the court.
