Harry Maguire On Who Erik ten Hag Supports in The World Cup

Harry Maguire, the captain of Manchester United, has disclosed that Erik ten Hag, the club’s manager, has been communicating with him prior to England’s quarterfinal matchup with France.

Friday’s quarterfinal match between The Three Lions and France in Qatar will be their toughest test yet, and Harry Maguire thinks Erik ten Hag will be rooting for The Netherlands, who are playing Argentina on the same day.

The result of England’s quarterfinal match against the aggressive French team, captained by PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who has already scored five goals during the tournament, will determine whether they can win the World Cup once more.

Behind Brazil, France is the second-favorite team to win the championship and defend their crown. Kylian Mbappe, who represents France, is arguably the world’s most lethal striker at the moment.

For Gareth Southgate’s team in Qatar, Harry Maguire has been in outstanding form, contributing to three shutouts.

Throughout the competition, he said that Ten Hag had been congratulating him via texts.

“But I have had a couple of nice texts from them saying how well I’ve performed and congratulations on reaching the quarter-finals. It’s nice,” he told a post-match press conference on Wednesday.

“I am sure they’ll be watching the games but Erik will be supporting the Oranje army. It is good to feel the support of them.”
