The Kano Leadership Enlightenment and Advocacy for Development Initiative (Kano LEADS), has maintained it will ensure justice for late Hanifa Abubakar, a pupil killed by the proprietor of Noble Kids School, Tanko Abdulmalik.

Abdulmalik had confessed to the killing of Hanifa, a five-year-old pupil of the school, who was reported to have been abducted in December and her captors had demanded N6m ransom.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the President, Kano LEADS, Hajiya Aisha I. Dankani, said: “Abdulmalik Tanko was supposed to be her (Hanifa’s) trusted teacher.

“It is time for society to rethink. The law is clear in such a case where the suspect has confessed.

“The Kano State Government and the National Human Rights Commission have shown interest in the case, including relevant agencies. All must show a firm commitment to ensuring justice is done.

“They (parents) need to invest in it, the same value they grant Islamiyya and Qur’anic education.

“Let’s all stop agonizing and start organising,” she said.
