Hamas accuses Israel of 'Complex War Crime'

Hamas has accused Israel of committing a “complex war crime” following a devastating attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp, which resulted in the release of four captives but allegedly caused the deaths of three others, including a US citizen. Israel has firmly denied these accusations.

The death toll from the raid on Saturday has risen to 274, with at least 64 children among the victims, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. More than 700 Palestinians were reported injured in the attack.

In a dramatic political development, Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz has resigned from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s unity government. Gantz criticized Netanyahu’s handling of the conflict in Gaza and called for early elections, further escalating the political tension within Israel.

The conflict, which began on October 7, has resulted in the deaths of at least 37,084 people and injuries to 84,494 in Gaza. On the Israeli side, the death toll from Hamas’s attacks stands at 1,139, with dozens of individuals still held captive in Gaza.

The humanitarian crisis continues to deepen, with calls for international intervention and a ceasefire growing louder as the casualties mount on both sides.
