Haaland will be injured half the Season—Liverpool fan promises

Erling Haaland will spend half the season battling with injuries, Liverpool fan, Paddy Pimblett promises as he tips Darwin Nunez to win the who’s who debate.

Well, the Manchester City versus Liverpool rivalry doesn’t get quite intense as this, with Liverpool fan and celebrity, Paddy Pimblett promising Manchester City’s Erling Haaland to suffer quite the injury spell on the side lines this season.

The UFC star said this while talking about the Darwin Nunez versus Erling Haaland rivalry that has been fueled by the growing rivalry with Manchester City.

The said rivalry has led to a lot of comparisons between both players of opposition and what it would take to get over the line for both stars.

For Paddy Pimblett, who is quite the celebrity in his own sport of boxing, believes his own team’s player will stand the edge and score more goals while Haaland will struggle with injuries for at least half the season.

The UFC champ spoke about the Community Shield that Liverpool won recently, which to him wasn’t to be bragged about, as he sends the dig to arch rivals, Manchester United instead.

To Pimblett, beating Manchester City was the most important not the shield or trophy as some would call it.

“Beating City is great, no matter what you want to beat City,” Pimblett told Sky Sports.

“But for me the Charity Shield means nothing. It’s a glorified friendly. It goes to penalties after 90 minutes. People who count that as a trophy actually annoy me. It’s not a trophy, it’s a shield.

“Manchester United fans try to include it when you do a trophy count but the Charity Shield doesn’t count. It’s a friendly.

On the race for the golden boot and on who he believes would have the edge in the race between Haaland and Nunez, he said:

“Yeah I’m doubling down. He’s going to try and not miss a single game Nunez, but Haaland will be injured for half the season.

“I think City are going to realise they’ve messed up a bit by selling Sterling and Jesus. They’ve brought Haaland and Alvarez, but he didn’t look that good the other day – he’s probably going to end up being proper heavy now because I’ve just said that.”
