Gunmen strike again in Anambra, attacks broadcast service
Tension has built over the South East region for months now, and there looks to be no sign of a resolution to the conflict or reign of terror as gunmen have continually attacked the region, particularly Anambra State.
The latest development reveals that gunmen have now attacked the Anambra Broadcasting Service today, with reports revealing they had stormed its premises at about 4:30 a.m.
The reports account them burning 2 operational buses used by the service in the siege.
The spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the incident but revealed no lives were lost in the attack.
“Following a distress call today at about 4:30 a.m of a case of arson in Anambra State Broadcasting Station Idemili North, the Police Operatives responded swiftly and prevented the hoodlums from causing damage on the structure.
“Unfortunately 2 operational vehicles belonging to the station was affected. No life was lost” the DSP was quoted saying.
