Gunmen kidnap village head and kill businessman in Bauchi

In a shocking incident, unidentified gunmen have kidnapped the village head of Balma in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Hussaini Saleh Balma, while also tragically taking the life of a prominent businessman, Alhaji Haruna Dan Osi.

The unsettling incident unfolded on the night of Saturday, June 10, 2023, when the armed assailants forcefully entered the village. They opened fire, fatally shooting Alhaji Haruna Dan Osi before abducting Alhaji Hussaini Saleh Balma and fleeing the scene. The exact whereabouts of the kidnapped village head remain unknown at this time.

Following the attack, the critically injured Alhaji Haruna Dan Osi was quickly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kudu, located in Jigawa State. Tragically, despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
