Gunmen kidnap popular Nigerian catholic priest (PHOTO)
Unknown Gunmen have kidnapped the parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Karku, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Reverend Father Jeremiah Yakubu.
The Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Reverend Father Emmanuel Okolo, issued a statement confirming the news.

According to the statement, Father Yakubu was snatched from the safety of the parish rectory in Kauru LGA at approximately 11 pm on Sunday, leaving the community and congregation in shock.
In light of this grave situation, Father Okolo implored the faithful to unite in fervent prayer, praying for the prompt and secure release of the kidnapped clergyman.
He further urged parishioners to avoid taking matters into their own hands, emphasising the importance of allowing law enforcement agencies to handle the situation.
Assuring the distressed community, Father Okolo vowed that the church would exhaust all lawful avenues to facilitate the swift return of Reverend Father Yakubu.
