Gunmen attack INEC office again

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Anambra State has been attacked by unknown gunmen just 24 days before the presidential elections.

The hoodlums reportedly used improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the raid, which took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A teenager was killed in the attack and another girl was injured. This marks another in a series of recent attacks on INEC offices as the country prepares for the elections.

The police have increased security measures and are investigating the incident.

The attack raises serious concerns about the security and integrity of the upcoming elections and calls for action to be taken to prevent any further disruptions.

Gbadebo defeats Sanwo-Olu, Jandor in Lagos Governorship poll

Meanwhile, the Labour Party (LP) Lagos governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has defeated 15 other candidates contesting for Governor in Lagos State in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

This was discovered in an independent poll conducted on Tuesday.

Gbadebo polled a total of 7,776 votes to defeat the incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Adediran Azeez Olajide, popularly called Jandor.
