Guardiola vows to remain at the Etihad if Man City get relegated

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, addressed the media ahead of the highly anticipated Premier League clash against Liverpool, shedding light on his stance if the club faces repercussions for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, following Everton‘s recent 10-point deduction for breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

In light of Everton’s punishment, attention swiftly shifted to City’s situation, with reports suggesting a nine-season breach of FFP regulations. Guardiola was queried about his future should the reigning champions face sanctions.

“I will not consider my future if we are in League One; I will be more likely to stay,” Guardiola asserted, emphasizing his commitment to the club despite the uncertainty looming over potential consequences.

However, Guardiola refrained from delving extensively into Everton’s case, underscoring the dissimilarities between City’s situation and Everton’s recent penalty. “I’m not going to say one word about Everton because I don’t know the reality of what happened.
