Group Of Suspected Armed Robbers, Cultists Arrested in Cross River

According to reports, Cross River State Police command has arrested ten notorious armed robbery suspects, eight cultists and six other suspected criminals from various locations in the State.

The suspects were identified as Daniel Abraham ‘m’ 29 years, Ene Effiom Okon ‘m’ 23, Ekpenyong Boco Bassey ‘m’ 25, Onoyom Ekpo ‘m’ 24, Edidiong Uwem ‘m’ 19 and Joseph Victor ‘m’ 24.

The suspects, DAILY POST gathered confessed to belonging to Vikings confraternity cult group. One blue gulf 3 salon car, one machete and some charms were recovered from them.

Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa said, “I want to draw the attention of the general public that a three week window for voluntary return/handover of all prohibited firearms whether locally manufacture or foreign ones like pump action guns has been given by the Inspector General of Police”.

He revealed that on January 25th 2018 two armed robbery suspects who robbed one Emmanuel Edet Jackson of Asha 205 phone valued at N141, 800 were arrested.

They are Gospel Peter Ibong ‘m’ 19 and Gabriel Ikpe James ‘m’ 18. Two locally made pistols, six live cartridges and one blue golf car were recovered from them.

On February 12th , 2018 one Samuel Williams ‘m’ 26 and Archibong Ita ‘m’ 24 were arrested for robbing one Dr Elias G. Awab, a Lebanese. Three Samsung Galaxy phones, two computer sets and N350, 000 cash were recovered from them.

Again on March 1st 2018, SARS in Ikom local government area arrested two suspected armed robbers, Louis Kintun Nsamba ‘m’ and Stanley Edem ‘m’ During interrogation. The suspects confessed to the crime and membership of Klans and Vikings confraternities. Locally made double barrel shot gun and single barrel locally made gun were recovered from them.

On March 1st, dreaded armed robbery suspect, Bassey Ita Umoh ‘m’ 21 was arrested; another three notorious armed robbers were arrested. Udeme Okon Akpan ‘m’, John Joshua ‘m’ and Itoro Ime were arrested. They were terrorizing Uwanse area. They confessed to the crimes.
