Governor Wike gifts Burna Boy land, splashes ₦10M on artistes [VIDEO]

Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and dancer Burna Boy’s homecoming concert for winning a Grammy was held yesterday March 27, in his state of origin, Rivers state.

 

One of the highlight of the event was Burna Boy being gifted a land in Old GRA, Port Harcourt and money to build by Governor Nyesom Wike. Wike also promised to give artistes who performed at Burna’s Homecoming Concert in Rivers State N10 million each.

 

Undoubtedly one of the biggest and most successful African artists, Burna Boy was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria on 2 July 1991.

Burna Boy rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. 

Burna Boy′s ″Destiny″ was included in the playlist at the Inauguration of Joe Biden.
