Governor Buni hails N8bn FG water project in Yobe State Top Naija

YOBE State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has applauded the Federal Government for approving N8bn for the finishing of the Damaturu urban regional water supply project.

The Governor, represented by his spokesman, Mallam Mamman Mohammed, stated this in a press statement on Wednesday.

He said that the project approved by the Federal Executive Council would contribute greatly to solving water scarcity in Damaturu, the State Capital.

The Governor added that the project would add to the efforts of the State Government in tackling water problems of the state capital and its environs.

Buni said, “I want to specially appreciate President Muhammadu Buhari and the Federal Executive Council for considering and approving the completion of this very important project that would touch the lives of our people.

“This is another dividend of democracy extended to Yobe State by the President Muhammadu administration. It is important to us because Damaturu has over the years increased in size and population, and is in need of a corresponding water supply,” He disclosed.
