Governor Ayade appoints singer Iyanya, 26 others as Special Advicer
Ben Ayade, the Governor of Cross River State, has appointed Ayade appointed entertainer Iyanya Mbuk as Senior Special Assistant Tourism and Entertainment.
Iyanya Mbuk is a popular musician who hails from Cross River State. Twenty-six others were also appointed as aides, according to a statement released late Wednesday evening by the Governor’s Special Adviser, Media, and Publicity, Christian Ita.
According to Christian Ita, the appointments take immediate effect.
Earlier in the day, the governor had approved the engagement of 500 members of the All Progressives Congress.
A statement by Christian Ita, read “His Excellency the State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has approved the immediate engagement of the under-listed persons in fulfillment of his promise to engage 500 members of the All Progressives Congress.
“They are to proceed to their respective local governments of origin for documentation.”
Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”. He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011.
