Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State mourns  loss of younger brother

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State is currently mourning the loss of his younger brother, Labaran Sule.

The sad news was confirmed by the governor’s aide, Musa Barau, in a Facebook post.

Labaran Sule reportedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 20, 2023. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed.

The funeral prayer for the deceased was held at the Emir’s Palace in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State on Saturday afternoon. Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects to Labaran Sule.

 

He said; “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State younger brother, Labaran Sule.

“The funeral service for the deceased took place at Gudi Emir Palace, Akwanga LGA. May his soul rest in Aljannatul Firdausi, Ameen ya rabbi”.

This unfortunate event comes just five months after the governor’s son, Hassan Sule, passed away. Hassan Sule, aged 36, succumbed to a brief illness on January 26, 2023.

Governor Abdullahi Sule and his family are undoubtedly facing a difficult time as they cope with the loss of their loved ones. The governor has not made any public statements regarding his brother’s demise, but the people of Nasarawa State extend their heartfelt condolences and prayers to him and his family during this period of grief.
