Gov Bello calls on Nigerians to support FG in addressing insecurity
Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has called on Nigerians to support the Federal Government in addressing insecurity in the nation.
This was disclosed on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Mary Noe-Berje, in a statement entitled, “Eid-El-Kabir: Governor Abubakar Sani Bello Felicitates with Muslim Ummah.”
The Governor, while commending the Muslim community, called for patience as he said the All Progressive Congress-led Federal Government is working to proffer solutions to security problems in the nation.
The statement partly read, “Meanwhile, Governor Sani Bello also used the occasion to urge all Nigerlites and, indeed, Nigerians to remain patient, trustful and support the APC-led administration in the country as it proffers solution to the current economic downturn and security challenges.
“He said his administration has continued to execute projects across the state and has also placed it on a trajectory of economic prosperity that will, in a few years from now, enhance sustainable growth and development of the state.”
Referring to the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Governor reaffirmed that all Durbar activities have been suspended because of the presence of COVID-19 Delta variant in the nation.
It added, “Following the confirmation of Delta Variant of COVID-19 in the country, six states and the Federal Capital, Abuja, have been placed on red alert hence the State Governor has directed that Eid Prayers should be conducted in neighbourhood Jumma’at Mosques.
“Similarly, the Governor said Durbar activities are to be suspended and urged the people to continue to observe all established COVID-19 protocols.”
