Gospel singer Aduke Gold passes away
Well-known gospel singer Ajayi Aduke Morounkola, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has passed away.
It was her colleague, Esther Igbekele, who shared the sad ordeal on Tuesday morning on her Facebook page.
Esther confirmed the death of the singer and also paid her tribute.
She wrote, “A general has fallen. ADUKE GOLD #rip”
The circumstances surrounding Aduke Gold’s passing remain uncertain at the time of filing this report.
Being the 11th child of her late parents, Aduke was born and raised in Lagos, specifically in the Ogba and Badagry areas.
She began her music career in 2004 and gained widespread recognition with her memorable performance at the commemoration of late gospel artist Baba Are.
Her hit track “Nitori Ogo” (2021) further solidified her fame.
Beyond her remarkable singing career, Aduke Gold was an outstanding intellectual, earning a degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University and a master’s degree in Child Psychology from the UK.
