Popular American rapper, Mac Miller, has been confirmed dead. The rapper, singer and record producer was pronounced dead today (September 7) by law enforcement who responded to a 911 call to his home in San Fernando Valley.
Authorities it is reported were alerted by a male friend of the deceased who placed a 911 call from his’s home.
Until his death, Miller has battled substance abuse issues for years and was one time addicted to a combination of promethazine and codeine known as ‘purple drank’ or ‘lean’.
His struggle with drug addiction is said to be a major cause of his break up with recently engaged singer Ariana Grande. The pair dated for over 2 years Ariana once admitted during an interview that it was the deal breaker as she was tired of managing the situation.
Miller battled legal issues as had numerous traffic and drug-related offences in his plate. Back in May, the rapper wrecked his G-Wagon by wrapping it around a utility pole and was arrested for DUI and hit and run. He fled the scene but cops say he later owned up to his crime at his home. He blew 2 times the legal limit.
On Thursday night, Mac shared a video of a record player and you hear his song, “So it Goes,” which includes lyrics, “Nine lives, never, die, f*** a heaven, I’m still gettin’ high.” He was scheduled to start a tour next month.
