“God is sending America signs to repent” — U.S Lawmaker warns

Marjorie Taylor Greene, the congresswoman representing Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives, has stirred controversy once again with her recent remarks attributing natural phenomena to divine intervention.

Following an earthquake that shook the Northeast, particularly affecting areas in New Jersey and New York, Marjorie Taylor Greene took to Twitter to express her belief that such occurrences are indicative of messages from a higher power.

In her tweet, she warned Americans to interpret these events as signs to repent, suggesting a correlation between seismic activity and spiritual awakening.

Greene’s assertion prompted criticism from the community, with some pointing out statistical data on earthquakes and the predictable nature of eclipses, casting doubt on her interpretation of these events as divine warnings.

This isn’t the first instance where Greene’s statements have sparked controversy. Last year, during an interview with “60 Minutes,” she drew backlash for describing Democrats as pedophiles.

Additionally, Marjorie Taylor Greene has previously made inflammatory remarks likening criminal charges against former President Trump to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
