Get rid of the guy—Noel Whelan begs Man United

A former Premier League striker, Noel Whelan has pleaded on Old Trafford club, Manchester United to get rid of one of its players who he considers surplus to requirements.

In a football analysis the ex-player did, he notes how the United left-back hasn’t quite done it at the club despite the chances gifted him at the United.

And with the arrival of Man United’s new signing, Tyrell Malacia, Whelan believes its all over for Alex Telles at Old Trafford.

The signing of the left-back from Eredivisie club in the Netherlands, Feyenoord was announced recently, much to the glee of the United faithful who have been hungry for transfer news since the window shut open.

Malacia comes into the club via a deal that sees £13 million paid to Feyenoord with the Red devils able to announce him as the club’s first summer signing.

With 3 senior left-backs expected to be in the team, Whelan wants Telles out while tipping Tyrell for instant success at Old Trafford.

“Alex Telles hasn’t done it since coming in, has he? I’m fully expecting Malacia to start the season – that is what Ten Hag has brought him in for,” He said to Football Insider.

“That is what happens when you go out and get new players in – they come straight into the side.

“I’m sure not many people will be grumbling if he does because last season, there were so many poor performances in these areas and that is why there is this lack of trust in the existing players.

“In terms of where that leaves Telles – if they can ship him out on loan with a view to a permanent move that would probably be best for player and club.”

With all news pointing to Telles’ exit from United, the Brazilian may end up as the sacrificial lamb in Man United’s revolution. For Whelan, he wants the club to get rid of him.
