Gary Neville Trolls Ronaldo in Response to Interview

No one in the Manchester United hierarchy will be eager to go on a dinner date with Cristiano Ronaldo anytime soon following the Piers Morgan Uncensored interview, and if by chance they were, Gary Neville has resigned to fate knowing he wouldn’t be welcomed by the Portuguese whatever the case.

The former Manchester United defender, who is quite the vocal personality on social media lately, took out his minutes to reply the comments made by Ronaldo regarding his regular criticism with a short witty statement intended to bear sarcasm.

The response comes in reference to Cristiano Ronaldo’s statement of the two not being friends, sharing how both men were never going to sit together for a dinner or a friendly chat.

Ronaldo attacked a number of people connected to Manchester United including Gary Neville in a lengthy interview with Piers Morgan that will air on TalkTV later this week, alleging that they have “betrayed him.”

In the most recent parts made public, Ronaldo attacked former teammates Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney for attacking him in the media after he refused to enter the game against Spurs as a substitute.

He stated:

“People can have their own opinion, but they don’t really know what’s going on. For example, inside the training ground and Carrington area or even my life – they should listen not only to one point of view, they have to listen to my point of view as well. Because it’s easy to criticise. But if you don’t know the whole story, it’s easy.

“It’s easy to criticize, I don’t know if you have a job in television that they must criticise to be more famous. I really don’t understand it.”

On Gary Neville’s criticisms, Ronaldo claimed Neville was using him for fame, stating:

“These people can have their own opinion but they don’t really know what’s going on … it’s easy to criticize, I don’t know if they have a job in television that they must criticize to be more famous … I think they take advantage.”

“It’s hard when you see people who were in the dressing room with you criticizing you in that way. It doesn’t hurt me … but it’s not good to listen to that. A little bit disappointing.”

The former Real Madrid star then went on to reveal his thoughts about his relationship with the two stars, stating in quote:

“They are not my friends, they are colleagues. We play together, they’re not coming, we’re not ever having dinner together.”

Neville responded on Tuesday by playfully asking if anyone wanted to get dinner in a tweet considering Ronaldo was ditching on him.
