Gabriel Magalhaes On Being Left Out By Brazil

Arsenal defender, Gabriel Magalhaes has come under heavy criticism of game play from former Manchester United midfielder, Johnny Giles.

The former Manchester United midfielder criticized Gabriel Magalhaes, a defender for Arsenal, saying he is overly aggressive and unqualified.

Johnny Giles believes that the Brazilian represents a weakness for the Arsenal team in the back.

This season, Gabriel has played an important role for Mikel Arteta’s team, making 16 appearances in various competitions and scoring one goal.

Giles thinks that this season, the one area of concern for Arsenal’s roster is Gabriel, whose current deal with the club expires in 2027.

“They are a good all-round team, the only one is Gabriel. I always think he’s a bit of a liability, “Giles said (via HITC).

“He’s too aggressive at times, he gets into trouble and he gives goals away. But in terms of the overall team, the young players have come on well and Mikel Arteta has done a huge job there.”

Gabriel joined Arsenal from Lille last year for £23.4 million and fair play to the Brazilian, his performances along with William Saliba has been instrumental in keeping the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table for a while now despite challenge from Manchester City.
