Fuji House of Commotion star, Sola Onayiga, has died
The Nollywood industry is yet in another mourning as it lost one of its own, Sola Onayiga, who played the role of Ireti in Kunle Bantefa’s popular soap, Fuji House of Commotion.
Sola Onayiga, popularly known for her comic role as Ireti in the soap Fuji House of Commotion, died at about 3:45 am today, July 18 after battling a yet-to-be-disclosed ailment.
As confirmed by the founder of Best Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi on his Instagram page, he wrote;
“I have just been informed that the accomplished Stage and Screen Actress and Fellow of Theatre Arts Auntie Sola Awojobi Onayiga has passed on.
Auntie Sola who is best known for living delightfully the role of Ireti aka Cooking practicals in the defunct television sitcom ‘CHECKMATE’! Reportedly passed on this morning.

As of the time of filing this report, there is yet to be an official statement regarding the actress’ demise or the reason for her sudden death.
Celebrities including Kunle Afod, Helen Paul, Taiwo Bankole, and other Nigerians took to social media to mourn the death of Sola Awojobi Onayiga.
In a similar update, TopNaija had earlier reported that Actress Ada Ameh was said to have slumped to her death on Sunday around 11 pm in Warri, Delta State.
Reports from multiple sources claimed Ameh was a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she suddenly collapsed.
Meanwhile, Ada Ameh’s last post on Instagram, which was at about 12.53 pm on Sunday, July 17, reads, “Happy new week fams. This trip for my friends elder sister, is just an enjoyment gallow!!! Thanks my darling sister phil. I really enjoyed myself!!. God bless my love. May dreams come true in Jesus Christ name “
