From Local To Global: LinkedIn Local Akure unveils 2nd edition

After a successful maiden edition organized by Oluwakemi Amodu in 2022, LinkedIn Local Akure (LLA) did not retire. Instead, Elizabeth Rotimi and Faizat Hussein took the reins and decided to organize a second edition of the networking event which promises to be insightful and generate greater results in the Akure Career and Business Ecosystem.

With the mission to transcend local boundaries and inspire global impact by fostering a community that believes in the power of transformation and growth, LLA 2.0 is set to happen.

The theme for this second edition is From Local to Global, which embodies the vision of the convener.

What To Know About LinkedIn Local Akure 2.0

Unlike the assumption of some, LinkedIn Local Akure 2.0 is not only for techies or professionals on LinkedIn. It is designed for young minds who are passionate about unlocking their potential. It cuts across various fields like entrepreneurship, freelancing, Web3, fashion, marketing, etc. The aim is to create an atmosphere for networking and career development.

Happening on Saturday, 31th August 2024 at T.I. Francis, FUTA, all hands are on deck to ensure a remarkable experience for those who will attend the networking event and its success.

The preparations include partnering with growth-driven organizations, inviting informed speakers and panelists, ticket sales, and creating educational and entertaining snippets for the public. In the spirit of preparation, a one-day physical LinkedIn optimization class was organized by the co-convener, Faizat Hussein, to give the audience a dose of what the event is set to give. “The first step of going global is taking care of one’s local beginning before climbing more steps higher, hence why we did the physical LinkedIn optimization class to lay good examples” – Faizat Hussein, the Co-Convener further explains.
