Chelsea legend Frank Lampard set to return
Beloved Chelsea icon, Frank Lampard could be heading for an unexpected managerial return—this time in Italy’s Serie A with AS Roma.
The 46-year-old has been out of the dugout since finishing his interim stint with Chelsea in the 2023/24 season but has stayed in the public eye as a pundit for BBC and Sky Sports.
Now, it seems his next managerial adventure could take him to the Stadio Olimpico, where Roma is reportedly eyeing him as a possible replacement for under-pressure boss Ivan Juric.

Juric, Roma’s third manager in under a year, has struggled in his early tenure, with four losses in his first ten matches.
And with Roma’s American owners, the Friedkin Group, potentially set to acquire Everton, there’s speculation that Frank Lampard, who previously managed the Toffees, might be on their radar for the Italian job.
Frank Lampard isn’t the only name Roma is considering, however. The club is reportedly exploring other high-profile options with ties to English football.
Roberto Mancini, fresh off a stint managing Saudi Arabia, and former Leicester City miracle-maker Claudio Ranieri are among those linked to the role. Paulo Sousa, the well-traveled Portuguese manager currently at Shabab Al Ahli in the UAE, is also said to be in the mix.
While a move to Serie A may seem like an unexpected twist for Lampard, it could be the challenge he needs to reinvigorate his managerial career.
