Former Super Eagles player reveals changes in Peseiro’s team after Sao Tome win

The decimation of Sao Tome and Principe is something Jose Peseiro’s Super Eagles team will relish and former Super Eagles international, Julius Aghahowa as revealed the noticeable changes in the team.

The Former Nigeria international revealed that there were some improvements in the Super Eagles attack since the appointment of Jose Peseiro.

“It is very obvious that some things have changed in the attacking lineup,” Aghahowa said on Brila FM.

“The final third which like I have always complained about like passes don’t get to the strikers, players don’t make runs behind the defenders.

“But against São Tomé, I saw a lot of runs from the midfielders and the wingers.“

The Eagles recorded their biggest ever win on Monday after hammering São Tomé and Principe 10-0 in Agadir, Morocco during the AFCON qualifiers.

The game saw Victor Osimhen net four goals while the trio forward players of Ademola Lookman, Emmanuel Dennis and Terem Moffi (who scored two goals) opened their goals accounts for the Eagles.

Moses Simon, Etebo also had shouts at goal with Etebo’s coming from a free kick he saw clinch the back of the net.

Following the win the Eagles, on six points, lead Group A after two games played.

And reacting to the win against São Tomé, Aghahowa explained what he felt was lacking before in the team.

The Eagles return to action in the qualifiers again in September when they will entertain Guinea-Bissau.

Perhaps they keep the same momentum and give Nigerians more of the same scoring prowess they portrayed against Sao Tome.
