Former Liverpool player can’t believe Sadio Mane is Gone
It definitely would take a lot of time for it to sink in to a lot of people, particularly those connected to Liverpool to accept that Sadio Mane is gone.
It’s certainly a guaranty that moving forward, it would seem virtually strange to see Liverpool’s team sheet out without Mane’s name in the starting XI.
And it would even be weirder should Liverpool and Bayern Munich ultimately face each other only for Mane to line up against the Reds with Bayern.
For former Liverpool striker, Dean Saunders, he feels same as he still finds it difficult to get his head around Mane moving to Bayern Munich.
The Senegalese sealed a £35million move to the German champions earlier in the week, departing the Merseyside club after six years.
To Saunders, it is quite the shocking move for Mane to leave especially considering how he was loved by everyone including the manager, Jurgen Klopp, fans and how he played week in, week out.
“I’m still baffled why he’s gone,” he told talkSport
“Why would you leave Liverpool when everybody loves you, the manager loves you, your teammates love you?
“You’re playing in the best front-three you’re ever going to play in, in your life. You’re never gonna go to a better team than he’s in right now.
“It can’t be money because he sends half of his money back home to build villages for people; he does so much good behind the scenes.
“Maybe they’ve not offered him enough money? I don’t think it’s money but maybe, it’s the only thing I can think of.
“I can’t believe he’s gone!” He said.
Saunders though will hope he doesn’t take the feeling into the end of next season as it would mean the new forwards brought into the team did not do the business.
