FlutterWave Debuts at 21 on CNBC’s Disruptor 50
The ninth annual Disruptor 50 list was published on May 25. CNBC highlights the private companies leading out of the pandemic with business models and growth rates aligned with a rapid pace of technological change.
Financial backers have paid heed that the organizations on the 2021 Disruptor 50 rundown have become basic parts in crucial monetary and customer changes. A greater part of the CNBC Disruptor 50 are now billion-dollar organizations. 34 disruptors are unicorns that have effectively reached or passed the $1 billion valuation mark.
The list is widespread. As companies work in fields like finance, healthcare and education. Top 3 companies on the list are: Robinhood, Stripe and Discord. The list also features Udacity and Patreon.
1,565 start-ups submitted nominations to make the annual list. Start-up companies, that are independently owned, are eligible to be nominated for the Disruptor 50 list. They have to be founded after January 1, 2006.
Companies submitted metrics including data on workforce size and diversity, scalability, and sales and user growth. CNBC partners like PitchBook provided data on fundraising, implied valuations and investor quality. IBISWorld database of industry reports were used to compare the companies based on the industries they are attempting to disrupt.
A diverse panel used all of these in scoring the companies.
