Flood takes over Lagos roads, homes, destroys properties | See Photos+Video
Lagosian has used a canoe to navigate a flooded street on the Island.
The video shows the man rowing his canoe across the streets that car owners were afraid to drive through.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government has called on residents to observe extreme caution on the roads, as torrential rain persists across the state on Saturday.
The government said the downpour is expected for a few more weeks, soliciting the support of citizens to stop dumping refuse in the canals and gutters and to also observe safe and hygienic conduct at all times in order to reduce the effects of flooding being experienced in some areas.
