Fire finds its way into WAEC national office
Worrisome news for those in the academic line of Nigerian secondary schools, as it is reported the West African Examination Council (WAEC) office in Yaba got engulfed in flames.
It happened in the early hours of Wednesday with the fire outbreak been reported at the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Yaba, National Office, Lagos.
As of the time this story was filed, firefighters from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) had arrived at the scene of the event to put out the fire, according to a report heard on the Lagos radio station Bond FM.
According to an eyewitness, a council employee who was reportedly caught between a few levels was seen trying to jump out a window of the spectacular 12-story structure to avoid being smothered.
No one from the Council could be reached for more information for an account as at time of publication.
